Search help:

How many characters will my statement of purpose allow? If I go over this amount, what do I do?

Solution

All areas of the application with a character limit will have the number of characters noted. This includes all characters — numbers, letters, spaces, tabs, etc. Only the number of characters specified will be received with your application. It is recommended that you type your document in a software program (for example, Microsoft Word) where you can get a total character count. If you run over, you should edit your document. Try to be concise and to the point.
