We require original signatures on all documents. In the event that your committee member is unable to sign your certificate of completion in a timely manner, you may have the school chair or graduate coordinator sign on their behalf, given that there is written permission from that committee member (an e-mail or formal letter will suffice). Any letters authorizing those designated to sign on behalf of the missing committee member should accompany the certificate of approval form when it is presented to the Graduate Studies Office. We will not accept a fax or electronic signature.
